Had to post!

My Isabel has a friend over and the conversations they are having while painting at the table are cracking me up!

Isabel, "Why are our parents so worried about college!!"
"They will have a lot to deal with when we are older."

Lauren, "Yeah, like boyfriends and stuff"

Isabel, "One good thing about marriage, you can't get divorced!"
"Have you ever watched Divorce Court?"

Laruen, "No"

Isabel, "I do, but my mom doesn't like it."
(Isabel has been watching Little house on the prairie in the mornings and divorce court comes on after it and I have caught her twice watching it after LHOTP is over.....)

You know you go to Target too much when.....

Your 4 year old son says,
"Mommy, can we go to target?"

Mommy, "Why do you want to go to target, Nolan?"

Nolan, "We have not been there in a long time, I want to go to target!"

I love Target!

*Side Note*

Since, I intend to print our blog out for our children to have as a memento of their childhood.  I think I need to put in here that I apologize for spelling and my miss use of the English language.  My mom tried and tried to teach me how to be a good speller (-: and to master the English language, but to no avail, I am VERY bad at spelling and correct grammer!  All that love me, look past the fact that I am totally left brained because they often appreciate my gift for numbers!

Then there was Drama....

The time has come for our talented little girl to be steered in the right direction!  For her birthday she enjoyed a week of "Drama Camp" at a great studio in town.  She and 6 other kids ages 5 to 7 performed "Little Red Riding Hood", Isabel was the Narrator,  "Rapunzel", Isabel was the mean witch, and "The 3 Little Mice who Lost their Mittens", Isabel was the Mama Cat.  They also performed "This little Light of Mine".  It was a great birthday week and I think she will always remember that gift!  We hope to put a video of her performance her on the blog soon!  She had a great time and looks forward to her future in Drama, Dance, and Singing!

A Great Day!!

Every year we do a "friends" party and a family party for our kids birthdays.  Not sure if we will be able to keep this up with 3 kids every year, but this is the way we have done it for the past 7 years.  After our morning "friends" birthday party, we moved to our other neighborhood pool and had a great afternoon with family and some close friends to celebrate Isabel's 7th Birthday.

She is 7.......

and celebrated with a High School Musical Pool Party with Kendra, Lauren, Katie, Lindsay, Makayla, and Rachel!  We are very thankful for our neighborhood pools!  We spend lots of time there!

We had a great 4th of July this year!  Every 4th of July always brings birthday celebrations for Isabel.  This year on the 4th we spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa.  We went shopping for Isabel and celebrated her upcoming birthday.  Then, when evening came and it was time for grandma and grandpa to leave, we had a traditional cookout with Nanny.  Of course, the cookout ended with roasting marshmallows!  This was the first year since Isabel was born that we did not head up to the lake to watch fireworks.  With Silas being so little and Isabel's birthday party on the morning of the 5th, we decided to stay close to home and go watch fireworks up on the hill with Nanny!  It was short and sweet and home for bed...Silas slept through the whole thing......
